Gizela and Marisa’s Joyful Cape Town City Wedding
Gizela and Marisa were married in the beautiful NG Church in Sea Point before continuing their celebration high above Cape Town at Nasdak.
Arriving at the church was an experience in itself. Tandem paragliders drifted down from the sky while colourful flags welcomed guests outside. From the very beginning, the day felt alive with excitement, personality and the promise of an unforgettable celebration.
The church ceremony was filled with beautiful, significant moments between Gizela and Marisa and the people closest to them. Their friends left such an impression on me. The support, genuine friendship and complete joy surrounding the couple shaped the atmosphere of the entire day.
The energy from both bridal parties was incredible. There was laughter, anticipation and so much fun, but also quieter glances and emotional exchanges that revealed the depth of Gizela and Marisa’s connection. Their sun kissed confetti celebration outside the church was an absolute highlight.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Nasdak, a contemporary rooftop wedding venue at the Media24 Centre in Cape Town. With panoramic views across the city, Table Mountain and the harbour, it created a completely different atmosphere for the next part of the celebration.
Guests enjoyed pizza and drinks while the city stretched out around them. As the light changed and evening settled over Cape Town, the rooftop came alive with music, laughter and dancing. Celebrating high above the city felt bold, joyful and completely true to Gizela and Marisa.
I hope this gallery encourages LGBTQ couples and same sex couples searching for an inclusive Cape Town wedding photographer to discover my work. Every couple deserves to feel completely comfortable, celebrated and free to be themselves in front of the camera. Your wedding will never be reduced to a label. It will be photographed as your story, filled with the people, relationships and moments that make it uniquely yours.
Gizela and Marisa, thank you for welcoming me into your day. I had an absolute blast capturing your wedding and wish you a beautiful life together, filled with the same love, joy and happiness that surrounded you throughout this incredible celebration.
