Chris and Veronica's Stylish Tokara Estate wedding in Stellenbosch
Chris and Veronica’s wedding at Tokara Wine Estate was filled with style, confidence and the most wonderful energy. Veronica had an incredible sense of style, and together they brought so much fun and personality to every part of the day. Photographing them felt effortless because they trusted the experience, enjoyed the moment and were completely themselves.
Veronica prepared for the wedding inside the historic manor house at Plaisir Wine Estate. The rooms were an absolute dream to photograph, filled with beautiful furniture, carefully chosen artwork, heritage details and elegant natural light. There were endless opportunities to create photographs that felt refined but still personal. Plaisir would also be a magnificent setting for a romantic Cape Winelands proposal, engagement shoot or intimate couple session, with prior permission from the estate.
Their ceremony took place in front of Tokara’s vineyards on a glorious Stellenbosch afternoon. Tokara offers so much visual variety, with vineyards, olive groves, contemporary architecture, curated art and mountain views creating a different photographic opportunity at every turn. I loved incorporating the vines throughout the day and allowing the landscape to become part of their story without taking attention away from the people and moments that mattered most.
One of my favourite parts of the celebration was the canapé time, when Chris and Veronica could simply be present with their guests. They relaxed, laughed and enjoyed the beautiful place they had chosen with the people they loved. These unhurried parts of a wedding day are often where the most honest and meaningful photographs are found.
Tokara is also a wonderful location for couples planning a Stellenbosch proposal or engagement shoot.
